Three years ago, CCTV Wales began working with the Vale Europe Nickel Refinery (the former Inco plant in Clydach) with an upgrade to their existing CCTV into an IP CCTV system which integrates into their PC software making the monitoring process easier to manage with improved image quality.
CCTV Wales has also installed more than 35 new camera systems along with new cabling providing a management tool for the monitoring of the way staff work from a health and safety perspective, reviewing of any accidents and improved security.
The benefits of this pro-active approach to security systems has brought huge benefits to Vale Europe including a more efficient management tool which is fully integrated within their IP structure. This in turn has made monitoring more manageable and, most importantly, facilitated the instant identification of areas of concern within both operations and health and safety, enabling the company to address them.
